Las Vegas, NV (Jan 27, 2026) – A driver was killed early Tuesday morning following a multi-vehicle collision on the I-215 Beltway in the south Las Vegas valley, according to authorities.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:50 a.m. on eastbound I-215, east of Jones Boulevard.
The Nevada State Police reported that three vehicles were involved in the collision.
One adult driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Additional details regarding the circumstances of the crash were not immediately available.
Following the collision, all travel lanes were temporarily closed to allow investigators to document the scene and clear debris. By approximately 7:15 a.m., three eastbound lanes had reopened, though the eastbound I-215 on-ramp at Jones Boulevard remained closed.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Multi-car accidents on major Las Vegas roadways such as I-215 often lead to serious or fatal injuries. High speeds, heavy traffic, and chain-reaction impacts can leave drivers and passengers facing sudden medical emergencies, vehicle damage, and uncertainty about what to do next.
When multiple vehicles are involved, determining how a crash occurred and which parties may bear responsibility can be complex. Under Nevada law, individuals injured due to another party’s negligence may have the right to pursue compensation through a personal injury claim. In fatal multi-car crashes, certain surviving family members may be eligible to pursue a wrongful death claim.
Depending on the circumstances, recoverable damages may include medical expenses, funeral costs, lost income, loss of financial support, and loss of companionship, as permitted by law. Nevada also imposes strict deadlines on injury and wrongful death claims, and missing these deadlines may result in the loss of important legal rights.
