Las Vegas, NV (February 03, 2026) – A 23-year-old motorcyclist died yesterday in a devastating collision that has once again highlighted the dangers of the Boulder Highway corridor. The Nevada State Police identified the victim as 23-year-old Maikol Antonio Mendez Simo of Las Vegas.
The incident occurred just before 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of northbound Boulder Highway and the I-11 southbound off-ramp.
According to preliminary reports from the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, Mr. Simo was riding a motorcycle northbound when he entered the intersection, allegedly against a red light, and collided with a 2016 Nissan Altima.
Mr. Simo was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
