Single-vehicle crashes in Reno, Nevada, often lead to serious or fatal injuries, even when no other vehicles are involved. These accidents may result from dangerous road conditions, mechanical failures, poor weather, or driver fatigue and distraction. Regardless of the cause, victims and their families may have legal options to recover compensation under Nevada personal injury law.
In many cases, liability can extend beyond the driver. For example, government entities may be responsible for unsafe road design or lack of maintenance, while vehicle manufacturers may be liable for defective components such as brakes or tires. Victims can seek compensation for medical bills, rehabilitation, lost wages, vehicle repairs, and emotional suffering.
Under Nevada’s statute of limitations, injured parties or surviving family members have two years from the date of the accident or death to file a personal injury or wrongful death claim.
