Las Vegas, NV - Bicyclist Killed in Impaired Driving Crash Near North Schaumber Road and Grand Teton Drive

Las Vegas, NV (Nov 2, 2025) – A fatal crash occurred early Sunday morning, near North Schaumber Road and Grand Teton Drive, involving a motorist and a bicyclist, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD).

The incident happened around 7 a.m. when a 2007 Mercedes SL550, traveling southbound in the northbound lanes, collided with a bicyclist who was riding northbound. Authorities said the bicyclist attempted to maneuver out of the way but was still struck by the vehicle, suffering fatal injuries.

Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and performed life-saving measures, but the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mercedes remained at the scene and showed signs of impairment. He was arrested on charges of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and Reckless Driving.

This tragic incident marks the 132nd traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025.

The LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section is continuing the investigation into the crash.
