Las Vegas, NV (Nov 29, 2025) – A 45-years-old motorcyclist was killed early Saturday morning in a hit-and-run motorcycle crash at the intersection of East Tropicana Avenue and Mountain Vista Street, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Investigators say the crash occurred around 3:40 a.m. when a pickup truck making a left turn onto Mountain Vista failed to yield to a motorcycle heading west on Tropicana. The motorcycle collided with the right side of the truck, throwing the rider from the bike.
Police reported that the truck driver fled the scene, leaving the injured rider behind. The motorcyclist, a 45-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
Authorities are still searching for the driver, and the investigation remains active. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity.
Our deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of the victim.
Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Accidents in Las Vegas, NV
Hit-and-run motorcycle crashes are among the most dangerous types of collisions in Las Vegas, often leaving victims and their families facing severe physical, emotional, and financial hardship. Intersections such as Tropicana Avenue and Mountain Vista Street are high-risk zones where driver negligence, speeding, and failure to yield commonly lead to tragedy.
In Nevada, fleeing the scene of an accident resulting in injury or death is a felony offense. Even when the responsible driver is not immediately identified, victims or their families may still pursue compensation through uninsured motorist (UM) coverage, wrongful death claims, or personal injury protection. Damages can include medical bills, funeral expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and loss of companionship.
Because Nevada follows a two-year statute of limitations for personal injury and wrongful death cases, acting quickly is critical. Early legal action allows investigators to secure vital evidence, such as surveillance footage, vehicle debris, police records, and eyewitness statements, that can determine liability and maximize recovery.
