Drunk Driving Accidents in Las Vegas, NV

When a suspected drunk driver kills someone, Nevada law provides the victim’s family with powerful legal options, independent of any criminal case against the driver.

What to do after such accidents:

  • Contact a wrongful death attorney immediately. DUI crash evidence must be preserved early, including the driver’s blood alcohol records and any surveillance footage in the area
  • Do not speak to the driver’s insurance company before consulting an attorney
  • Do not sign any documents or accept any settlement. DUI wrongful death cases carry significant value that early offers will never reflect

Nevada’s deadline: Wrongful death claims must be filed within two years of the date of death (NRS 41.085). Acting early preserves every legal option available to the family.
