Pedestrian Accidents in Las Vegas

Pedestrian accidents are a growing concern in Las Vegas, especially in busy areas near the Strip where high foot traffic meets fast-moving vehicles. When drivers operate under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the risk of hitting pedestrians increases significantly due to reduced reaction time and impaired judgment.

According to the Nevada Department of Public Safety, pedestrian fatalities frequently involve impaired or distracted drivers. Victims of such crashes may suffer severe injuries, including fractures, brain trauma, and long-term disability. Under Nevada law, pedestrians injured in DUI-related crashes have the right to pursue compensation for medical expenses, lost income, and pain and suffering.

The statute of limitations for filing a personal injury claim in Nevada is two years from the date of the accident. Acting quickly allows attorneys to collect critical evidence such as toxicology results, traffic camera footage, and witness statements – key elements in proving negligence and maximizing recovery.
