Las Vegas, NV (October 15, 2025) – A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash late Wednesday night in east Las Vegas, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD).
The incident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Stewart Avenue and Mojave Road. Police said a white Chevrolet Malibu traveling eastbound on Stewart Avenue hit a pedestrian who was walking within a marked crosswalk. The impact threw the victim into the intersection.
The driver fled the scene, continuing eastbound without stopping to help. Officers later found the vehicle abandoned nearby. Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Police closed all directions of traffic at Stewart and Mojave for several hours while investigators processed the scene. Roads reopened around 4 a.m.
The LVMPD Collision Investigation Section is leading the search for the driver responsible for the crash.
