Las Vegas, NV (Sept. 20, 2026) – A two-vehicle crash near West Sahara Avenue and South Jones Boulevard sent a semi-truck rolling onto its side early Sunday morning. The Metropolitan Police Department said the crash happened just after 3:15 a.m.
Everyone involved in the crash went to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
We hope everyone involved has a full and fast recovery.
Semi-Truck Rollover Accidents in Las Vegas, NV
A semi-truck rollover investigation typically looks well beyond the driver, since federal cargo securement rules place legal responsibility on whoever loaded the trailer, and an improperly balanced or shifting load is one of the most common causes of a truck tipping over. This report does not say what caused the rollover, and the cause could just as easily be a tire failure, a road hazard, or driver error, but a full investigation checks the load itself before ruling anything out.
That means a rollover claim can sometimes reach a shipping or logistics company that never touched the truck’s controls, in addition to the driver and the trucking company that employs them. Getting the trailer’s cargo manifest and loading records preserved quickly matters before that evidence disappears.
