Henderson, NV – Driver Hospitalized After Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 11

Henderson, NV - Driver Hospitalized After Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 11

Henderson, Nevada (Sept. 24, 2026) – A three-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 11 sent one driver to the hospital and shut down multiple freeway lanes Thursday afternoon, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.

Troopers responded to the injury collision at approximately 1:27 p.m. on southbound I-11 just north of Horizon Drive. The crash involved a black Ford pickup truck, a gray Nissan sedan, and a white GMC utility vehicle, investigators said.

Medical personnel transported one driver to a local hospital for treatment. That person’s condition had not been released as of this report. The crash blocked the two right lanes, and tow trucks were dispatched to clear the disabled vehicles from the roadway. This is a developing story. Details may change as the investigation continues.

A routine drive on I-11 turned into a hospital visit in the time it takes to change lanes.

Multi-Vehicle Accidents in Henderson, Nevada

Three vehicles colliding on a Henderson freeway rarely comes down to one clean cause, and figuring out which driver started the chain reaction takes more than a glance at the wreckage.

  • Who may be liable: any of the three drivers involved, a pickup, a sedan, or a utility vehicle, depending on which one made contact first and how the impact carried through the other two
  • What investigators examine: the Nevada Highway Patrol’s crash report, the damage pattern and point of impact on each vehicle, and any freeway camera footage from the I-11 corridor near Horizon Drive
  • Comparative negligence: Nevada follows a modified standard (NRS 41.141), so an injured driver can recover compensation from another at-fault party even while holding some responsibility themselves, as long as their share stays under 51 percent

Nevada law gives an injured driver two years from the date of the crash, until September 24, 2028, to file a personal injury claim (NRS 11.190).
