Las Vegas, NV (Nov 10, 2025) – A child was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon in the northeast Las Vegas valley, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The crash occurred around 4:52 p.m. near Lake Mead Boulevard and Pecos Road. Police said a vehicle traveling eastbound on Lake Mead Boulevard hit a child who suddenly entered the roadway. Emergency crews transported the child to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police confirmed that impairment was not a factor in the incident.
We wish the injured child a full and speedy recovery.
Child pedestrian accidents are among the most tragic incidents in Las Vegas, often occurring in residential or high-traffic areas where visibility and driver awareness are limited. Even at moderate speeds, collisions involving children can cause serious injuries, such as fractures, concussions, or internal trauma.
Under Nevada personal injury law, families of injured children may seek compensation for medical care, rehabilitation, and emotional suffering. Legal guardians can file claims to ensure their child’s rights and future needs are protected.
Victims have two years from the date of the accident to file a personal injury claim. Early legal action helps preserve crucial evidence like police reports, surveillance footage, and witness testimony, which can strengthen the case.
