Car Accidents in Las Vegas: Legal Rights for Victims
Wrong-way accidents, such as the one on Lake Mead Boulevard, are particularly dangerous and often result in severe injuries or fatalities. When an accident involves negligent driving, such as speeding, reckless driving, or driving under the influence (DUI), the injured victims may be entitled to compensation for their medical expenses, property damage, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
In Nevada, those injured in car accidents have the right to file a personal injury claim. This may include accidents caused by wrong-way drivers, DUI accidents, head-on collisions, or rear-end crashes. Compensation can cover immediate medical treatment, long-term rehabilitation costs, and emotional distress caused by the accident.
Victims or their families have two years from the date of the accident to file a claim under the statute of limitations in Nevada. Take immediate legal action to preserve key evidence, such as traffic camera footage, police reports, witness testimonies, and vehicle data records, which can significantly strengthen your case.
