Car Accidents in Las Vegas, Nevada
A crash involving two vehicles and a fixed object often means more than one driver’s actions contributed, and sorting that out matters before evidence disappears.
- See a doctor today, even without visible injuries, since a concussion or a soft-tissue injury can surface hours after impact
- Avoid speaking to the other driver’s insurance company before consulting an attorney
- Preserve evidence, including intersection camera footage, vehicle damage photos, and the police crash report, before it is cleared or overwritten
- Decline any settlement offer before consulting an attorney
Nevada follows a modified comparative negligence rule (NRS 41.141), meaning an injured driver or passenger can still recover compensation as long as they were less than 51% at fault for the crash. Under Nevada law, you have two years from the date of the crash, until August 7, 2028, to file a personal injury claim (NRS 11.190).
