Las Vegas, NV – Semi-Truck and Sedan Crash on Southbound I-15 at Washington Avenue Leaves Two Injured

Las Vegas, NV (March 29, 2026) – Two people were injured after a semi tractor-trailer and a sedan collided on the southbound I-15 at Washington Avenue in the central Las Vegas valley on Sunday afternoon, March 30, 2026.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at approximately 3:52 p.m. Two people sustained injuries in the collision and were transported for medical treatment. The severity of those injuries has not been officially confirmed at this time.

The semi tractor-trailer leaked fuel at the scene following the crash. NHP confirmed the spill was not a hazard, and cleanup crews were called to address it.

The cause of the crash has not been officially determined, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Semi-Truck Accidents on Nevada Highways

Semi-truck accidents are legally and financially more complex than standard vehicle crashes. A single collision can involve the truck driver, the trucking company, the cargo loader, and multiple insurance policies, all of which may carry liability depending on what the investigation reveals.

What to do if you were injured:

  • See a doctor today. Injuries from highway crashes, including spinal damage, internal injuries, and concussions, often have no immediate symptoms. A medical evaluation today protects both your health and your claim.
  • Do not speak to the trucking company or their insurance representatives. Commercial carriers have legal teams that respond to crashes quickly. You should have an attorney before you say anything.
  • Preserve all evidence. Request the official NHP crash report once available. Keep all medical records, bills, and documentation of missed work.
  • Do not accept any settlement before consulting an attorney. Trucking company insurers are experienced at minimizing payouts. Early offers rarely reflect the full value of a serious injury claim.

Nevada’s deadline: Under Nevada law, you have two years from the date of the crash to file a personal injury claim (NRS 11.190). This crash occurred on March 30, 2026 – your deadline is March 30, 2028.
