Las Vegas, NV – Driver Killed, Two Others Injured After Pontiac Strikes GMC and Overturns on Hollywood Boulevard

Driver Killed, Two Injured in Rollover Crash at Hollywood Blvd & Bonanza Rd

Las Vegas, NV (April 9, 2026) – One man was killed, and two others were injured after a two-vehicle crash resulted in a rollover on North Hollywood Boulevard, south of East Bonanza Road, in the east Las Vegas valley, Wednesday night.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 10:29 p.m. and involved a Pontiac Grand Prix and a GMC Sierra. Evidence at the scene indicated the Pontiac was traveling south on Hollywood Boulevard at a high speed while the GMC was traveling north.

As the Pontiac crossed the intersection, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which rotated counterclockwise and crossed left into the northbound lanes.

The Pontiac then struck the front of the GMC, which overturned onto its passenger side. Medical crews arrived but pronounced the driver of the Pontiac dead at the scene.

The driver and passenger of the GMC were transported to University Medical Center by ambulance and treated for minor to moderate injuries.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Personal Injury Accidents in Las Vegas, NV

Being struck by an out-of-control vehicle is a traumatic experience, and injuries documented as minor to moderate at the scene often turn out to be more serious in the days that follow. If you were injured in this crash, Nevada law gives you the right to pursue full compensation.

What to do after such accidents?

  • See a doctor as soon as possible: soft tissue injuries, whiplash, and concussions from rollover crashes frequently worsen after initial treatment. A follow-up medical evaluation creates a stronger, more complete record of your injuries
  • Do not speak to any insurance company before consulting an attorney: adjusters may contact you quickly, and you are not required to give any statement without legal representation
  • Request the official LVMPD crash report once it is available: this document establishes the official record of what happened and who was involved
  • Document all medical bills, missed work, and out-of-pocket expenses from the day of the crash forward.

Nevada’s deadline: Under Nevada law, you have two years from the date of the crash to file a personal injury claim (NRS 11.190).
