Moped Accidents in Henderson, NV
Nevada does not require moped riders to carry liability insurance, unlike drivers of cars and motorcycles, which means an injured moped rider often has no policy of their own to fall back on if the at-fault driver is uninsured or underinsured. Nevada law defines a moped by its size and speed under NRS 482.069, not more than 2 horsepower, 50 cubic centimeters, and 30 miles per hour on flat ground, a classification that comes with fewer legal protections built in than a motorcycle receives.
That gap makes the at-fault driver’s own insurance coverage the central question in a case like this one, and confirming exactly what coverage that driver carries is one of the first steps after a moped crash. This report does not identify the other vehicle or driver involved.
