North Las Vegas, NV – Motorcyclist Killed in Collision With SUV at Ann Road and Whitestone Drive

Motorcyclist killed in North Las Vegas crash

North Las Vegas, NV (Sept. 19, 2026) – A motorcyclist died early Saturday morning after colliding with an SUV at West Ann Road and Whitestone Drive. North Las Vegas Police officers responded to the crash at about 3:35 a.m., and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say a 2007 Harley-Davidson was traveling west on Ann Road when a 2019 Honda CR-V, headed south on Whitestone Drive, attempted a left turn onto eastbound Ann Road. As the Honda pulled into the turn, the motorcycle collided with the SUV’s left side.

We extend our condolences to the motorcyclist’s loved ones.

Motorcycle Accidents in North Las Vegas, NV

Drivers turning left across an oncoming motorcycle’s path frequently misjudge how close and how fast that motorcycle actually is, since a single headlight and a narrow profile give the eye far less information than a car provides, and that effect gets worse in the dark. That is a well-documented perception problem, not an excuse: Nevada’s left-turn yield law under NRS 484B.253 asks whether the oncoming vehicle was objectively close enough to be an immediate hazard, not whether the turning driver subjectively believed they had enough time.

A 3:35 a.m. collision like this one raises the visibility question directly, and a full investigation typically covers the vehicles’ speeds, the sightlines at the intersection, and how far the motorcycle’s headlight was actually visible before the turn began.
