Las Vegas, NV - Driver Hospitalized After Rollover Crash on Southbound I-11 Near Horizon; Faces DUI Arrest

Las Vegas, NV (August 31, 2026) – A driver was taken to a hospital to be checked out after a two-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 11 just north of Horizon Sunday night.

The crash occured when one of the vehicles rolled onto its wheels. Nevada Highway Patrol responded around 9:36 p.m.

NHP says the driver will be arrested on suspicion of impairment once medically cleared. This is a developing story.

DUI Crashes in Las Vegas, NV

Nevada law gives investigators a narrow window to collect DUI evidence: chemical testing must generally happen within hours of an arrest, under NRS 484C.160. That window is already running in this case, since the arrest depends on medical clearance rather than a roadside test. For the other driver in the two-vehicle crash, once identified, that same evidence, chemical results, the vehicle’s own data, and the developing police report becomes the foundation of a claim, regardless of how the criminal case eventually resolves.

Details about the other driver and any passengers are still emerging, which is typical this soon after a crash. Nevada’s comparative negligence framework still applies once fault is sorted out, and evidence collected now, statements, vehicle data, the eventual toxicology results, holds up far better than anything gathered after the case has already taken shape.
