Las Vegas, NV (October 20, 2025) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision involving a Tesla Monday afternoon in the northwest Las Vegas valley, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD).
The crash occurred around 3:45 p.m. near Cheyenne Avenue and Metro Academy Way, close to Hualapai Way. Preliminary reports indicate that two motorcyclists were traveling westbound on Cheyenne Avenue when a Tesla attempted to make an eastbound turn onto Cheyenne. One rider successfully cleared the intersection, but the second was struck by the turning vehicle, sustaining critical injuries.
The injured motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital, where they were reportedly unresponsive upon arrival. The full extent of their injuries has not yet been confirmed. Police noted that the Tesla driver remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment.
Cheyenne Avenue west of Grand Canyon Drive was temporarily closed in both directions as emergency crews responded and investigators examined the scene.
