With Fourth of July weekend looming over our heads, I have already noticed an influx of travellers from all over the country (and California) clogging the streets. This means that Metro will be on high alert. More officers will be patrolling to ensure that everyone has a safe and happy holiday.
Ofcourse, this also means that more people will be caught speeding and more people will be caught drunk driving and other drinking related crimes. BE CAREFUL OUT THERE. If you are at a barbeque or down on the strip make sure that you take a cab home. Trust me when I say that a $50 cab ride home is much less than all the fees associated with a Driving Under the Influence charge here in Nevada.
However, if you are pulled over and you have been drinking remember these simple tips:
(1) Be polite;
(2) Cooperate with the officer; and
(3) Deny, deny, deny any wrongdoing.
