With the beginning of a New Year, every person has the same thing in mind: A new year can be a new start. But, how many New Years Resolutions have fallen by the wayside? How many New Years Resolutions have become something that you will do... "Next Year"?
A few years ago I read a book by Napolean Hill called "Think and Grow Rich". When I was reading this book, it was about the same time that the "Secret" was gaining in popularity. For those of you who do not know what the Secret is, essentially it is a book that tells you that if you want something, wish for it, and you will get it. Think and Grow Rich has a similar theme to it. If you want something, truly make yourself believe that you want it, that you will get it, and surround yourself with people and positive energy so you can get it. Leave no doubt in your mind. Positive Mental Attitude plus a brain trust of people around you to help you achieve these goals, and you will achieve it.
These books and ideas tell me one very important thing. That if you have the drive and the will power to stay the course, then you can achieve anything. It takes hard work and dedication like anything else! Here at Ace Law Group we understand the importance of a New Start for a New Year. Make 2011 the year that your truly stick to your New Years Resolutions and set out to achieve all that you desire.
Set a goal. Think about achieving that goal. Set out a game plan to achieve that goal. Put that plan in motion. Keep trying until that goal is achieved! Napolean Hill calls this a Definite Major Purpose. If you fail, try again!
Thomas Edison tried and failed many many times to invent the light bulb.
When Thomas Edison was interviewed by a young reporter who boldly asked Mr. Edison if he felt like a failure and if he thought he should just give up by now. Perplexed, Edison replied, "Young man, why would I feel like a failure? And why would I ever give up? I now know definitively over 9,000 ways that an electric light bulb will not work. Success is almost in my grasp." And shortly after that, and over 10,000 attempts later, Edison invented the light bulb.
